FAQ

How do I convert audio to text on iPhone?

Install Transcribe+, share the recording to it from Voice Memos, Files or any other app, pick the language and tap Transcribe. In a few minutes you get punctuated text with timestamps that you can copy, edit or export.

Can I convert MP3 to PDF?

Yes. Transcribe the MP3, then use Export → PDF. You can include or hide timestamps and speaker names. DOCX (Word), TXT and SRT are also available. See the MP3 to PDF guide.

Is Transcribe+ free?

The first 15 minutes are free, so you can test the quality on your own recordings. After that you can buy time packs (+5 or +10 hours) or subscribe to Pro, which adds 5 hours every month with a 3-day free trial.

Which languages are supported?

120 languages and dialects, including English, French, German, Portuguese (Brazil and Portugal), Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Ukrainian, Russian, Turkish, Arabic, Hindi, Japanese, Korean and Chinese.

Does it work on Mac and iPad?

Yes. One purchase works on iPhone, iPad and Mac, and transcriptions sync between your devices. On a Mac you can drag and drop audio and video files right into the app.

Which file formats can I transcribe?

Common audio and video formats: MP3, M4A, WAV, AAC, FLAC, OGG, OPUS, MP4, MOV and more. Video files are converted automatically, so you can transcribe a screen recording or a Zoom export directly.

Can it tell different speakers apart?

Yes. The transcript marks different speakers, and you can give them names. Speaker names can be included in the exported document.

How do I connect Transcribe+ to Claude?

In Claude open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector and paste https://speechtotext.cloud/mcp. Press Connect and enter the code from Transcribe+ → Settings → AI assistants (MCP). Step-by-step instructions are in the Claude MCP guide.

What is MCP?

The Model Context Protocol is an open standard that lets AI assistants use tools and data from other apps. With the Transcribe+ MCP server, Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other clients can list, search and read your transcriptions and start new ones.

Are my recordings private?

Your files and transcripts are stored in your account and are not shared. AI assistants see only the account you authorized and only what a tool returns, and you can revoke access in the app at any time.

How accurate is the transcription?

Accuracy depends mostly on the audio. Clear speech close to the microphone with little background noise gives the best results. Adding names and specialist terms to your vocabulary helps with rare words.

Can I make subtitles for a video?

Yes. Transcribe the video and export to SRT. The subtitle file works in YouTube, Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut and VLC. See the video to text guide.
