How to connect your transcriptions to Claude (MCP)
Transcripts are most useful when you can ask questions about them. Connect Transcribe+ to Claude once, and every recording you have ever transcribed becomes something Claude can search, quote and summarise.
What you can ask
- “What did we decide about pricing in last week’s meetings? Quote the timestamps.”
- “Write minutes with action items and owners for today’s sync.”
- “Find every interview where people complain about onboarding.”
- “Summarise the last three lectures and make flashcards.”
- “Transcribe this file: https://… and send me the key points.”
Claude uses the Transcribe+ tools to find the right recordings, reads only what it needs and answers with title [mm:ss] references you can check.
Connect Claude (web, desktop and iPhone)
- In Claude, open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
- Paste the server URL:
https://speechtotext.cloud/mcpand press Connect. - On your iPhone, iPad or Mac open Transcribe+ → Settings → AI assistants (MCP) → Get connection code. The code is valid for 10 minutes and for one connection.
- Enter the code on the page Claude opened. Done: connectors added in Claude also work in the Claude app on iPhone.
Claude Code, Cursor and other agents
In Transcribe+ open Settings → AI assistants (MCP) → Create access token. The app shows a ready command for Claude Code:
claude mcp add --transport http transcribe https://speechtotext.cloud/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer <token>"For Cursor, Windsurf and other clients, copy the JSON config from the same screen. The token is shown once; anyone who has it can read your transcriptions, so keep it secret and disconnect it in the app if it leaks.
Local MCP server on Mac
The Mac app also runs a local server at http://127.0.0.1:47321/mcp while it is open. Agents on your Mac can read transcripts directly from the computer, including recordings that are not transcribed yet. Turn it on in Settings → AI assistants → This Mac.

Privacy and control
- Claude sees only the account you authorized, and only what a tool returns.
- Access tokens are stored hashed on the server.
- See and revoke every connection in Settings → AI assistants (MCP) → Connected.
ChatGPT
ChatGPT supports custom MCP connectors in developer mode: Settings → Connectors, add the same server URL and authorize with a code from the app.
